Instructor: Monika Burrell Two ornaments will be created in this workshop and one will sparkle with reflected light and the other will make tinkling and rattling sounds. The first ornament will be created with a pattern of holes in different sizes and shapes made from flat slabs of clay. The design of the holes in the ornament will allow lights to twinkle through the ornament when they are completed and hung. The second ornament will have leaves and berries pressed into the flat clay that will leave an impression and later highlighted with the glaze. Join the workshop to see how these will create sound. Wires will then be fired into the clay to string the ornaments on. The completed ornaments that have been fired in my kiln will be returned approximately 2-3 weeks after the workshop. Your ornaments could be used as Christmas tree decorations, or woven into a wreath as a focal piece.
