DESTROYED CINEMA AND MUSIC returns with the world-premiere of Victoria’s own “In the Land of Fish and Honey” directed by John Ledingham & JP Meldrum alongside Matt Farley and Charles Roxburgh’s newest work “Evil Puddle”. Ledingham and Meldrum team up for their second feature collaboration following last year’s The Promised End and John’s first-solo outing and Destroyed screening alumni Search for Gold. Inspired by the regional horror of Don Dohler, the backyard DIY ethos of Motern Media, Walden, and the thoughtful slow style of Tsai-Ming-Liang, In the Land of Fish and Honey is an exercise in genre pluralism and microbudget atmosphere. It stars Meldrum as wayward mute alongside local legends Zoë Nilson, Cameron Meldrum, Nolan McConnel Fidyk and Ethan Houlbrook. The less you know the better… Evil Puddle is the 13th feature collaboration between Roxbrugh and Farley - two heroes of DIY filmmaking. Evil Puddle is, seriously, about an evil puddle. The most prolific, self-motivated, idiosyncratic and exciting filmmakers working today. “When evil, deadly water starts pooling around their feet, the citizens of Medialight must figure out a way stay alive until it evaporates” Healslime is a newly-formed improvisational supergroup-collective jam band of local musicians - this lineup features members of Trackmeet, Perfect Match, The Thunes, The Diploids, and more. -------------------------------------------------------------------- November 2nd 2025 / Little Fernwood (1921 Fernwood Rd) / Doors at 4:30 followed by Healslime at 5 then In the Land of Fish and Honey at 6 than a short Q&A w/John and JP then Evil Puddle at 8pm / 10$ or PWYC / All Ages (although ITLOFAH features coarse language, comic-violence, and brief non-sexualized nudity)
