Music evoking humanity's struggle to move through conflict into harmony with works ranging from Karel Husa's ode of resistance to tyranny, Music for Prague 1968, to Jodie Blackshaw's tribute to healing and memory, Peace Dancer.
Meridiem Wind Orchestra is a not-for-profit Arts Organization dedicated to performing complex wind orchestra repertoire. The players are highly trained and dedicated instrumentalists, all drawn to the unique timbres, colours and challenges of wind ensemble music. Meridiem also collaborates with local school music programs to provide skilled clinicians to work with students in band programs. Meridiem is proud to be supported by Tapestry Music, who sponsor free tickets for any students wishing to attend a concert.
