Formed in 2015, Award-winning Cascadia Strings is an initiative to bring diverse
and engaging chamber music repertoire to all audiences, fusing together iconic
original works with well-crafted arrangements of popular music of the last
century, all in the vision to bring live, meaningful musical experiences to new
venues and music-lovers in Victoria and beyond.

Kathryn Wiebe, founder, programs shows with thoughtful content, cross-genre
repertoire, with a result that is touching and powerful to audience members,
regardless of demographics.
This concert features:
Victoria-based Musicians, Tyson Doknjas & Kathryn Wiebe (Violins), Jessica Pickersgill & Natasha Galitzine (Violas), and Erin Tinney (Cello).
These are graduates of conservatories and schools, such as University of Victoria, The
Juilliard School, the New England Conservatory of Music, University of Michigan,
and University of Toronto, to name a few. You may recognize this talented bunch
from orchestras and ensembles such as Victoria Symphony, Victoria Baroque Players, Pacific
Baroque Orchestra, Candlelight Concerts, and more.
