This Halloween, Cafe Malabar invites you into a world of myth, magic, and mystery — where food and folklore come alive by candlelight.

From the team behind Cafe Malabar — named Canada’s 5th Best New Restaurant (2024) and YAM Magazine’s Chefs of the Year (2025) — comes a one-night-only dinner inspired by the ghost stories and legends of South India.

Spirits of Malabar is a five-course storytelling experience where each dish reveals a different spirit — from mischievous tricksters to divine guardians — through bold flavour, spice, and imagination.

Expect a dark, moody atmosphere filled with whispers, shadows, and the scent of spice. Guests will receive collectible folklore cards with each course, and optional wine pairings are available to match the tone of every story.
