26th Sing-Along Messiah

A perennial holiday classic brought to you by the Civic Orchestra of Victoria! Audience member voices join together as a choir for our 26th sing-along rendition of Handel’s most famous oratorio, led by the Civic Orchestra's Music Director, Grant Harville. Featuring: Jennifer Turner, soprano Deanna Sills, mezzo soprano Jan van der Hooft, tenor Louis Dillon, baritone Greg Sly, trumpet Yousef Shadian, continuo And YOU, the Audience, as the Chorus! Non-singers are also welcome to enjoy the show; there is no obligation to sing-along. We encourage you to at least belt out a "Hallelujah!" or two. 😊🎶 THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD AT UNITED COMMONS (formerly the First Metropolitan United Church) 932 Balmoral Road, Victoria. This venue is an accessible venue - those who require an alternative to the front stairs on Quadra Street are asked to come to the entrance at 932 Balmoral Road for access to the hall. It is strongly recommended that you purchase tickets in advance to reduce congestion at the door. The Civic Orchestra of Victoria has some vocal scores to lend to the Audience/Chorus during performance (donations are greatly appreciated). If you have your own score, please bring it with you.
