47th Annual Victoria Holiday Tubas

Holiday Tubas (formerly Tuba Christmas) returns to Market Square for a joyful seasonal tradition in the heart of downtown Victoria! Each year, more than 100 tuba and euphonium players from across the region gather to fill the square with rich, resonant harmonies of well-loved holiday carols. It’s a vibrant community celebration that invites everyone to listen, sing along, and share in the spirit of the season. Scott MacInnes has been leading this event since 2022. Donations will be collected in support of the Times Colonist Christmas Fund, helping those in need throughout Greater Victoria. This event traces its roots to the first “Tuba Christmas” held in New York City in 1974—now celebrated in over 200 cities worldwide. 2024 marked the 50th anniversary of this unique musical tradition.
