Aleksi won a 2024 Canadian Folk Music Award for his bilingual album, which offers 10 songs in English & the same 10 songs in French. With rich vocals, virtuosic musicianship, and deeply expressive songwriting, Aleksi Campagne brings a fresh, genre-crossing sound that draws from folk, classical, and roots traditions. Since he was five years old, he has performed alongside his mother, Canadian folk icon Connie Kaldor and his father Paul Campagne of the francophone band Hart Rouge. At 19, he moved to Paris to study under jazz violin legend Didier Lockwood. At 21, he became the only student to be accepted into the classical violin, jazz violin, and jazz voice performance programs at McGill University.
