Bad Art Club is a low-pressure community art space for experimentation, creative chaos, and making things without worrying whether they're "good." Inspired by the Art Hive movement, this is a space to follow curiosity instead of perfectionism. Come collage, draw, craft strange little objects, work on unfinished projects, or simply exist in community while making. Shared materials will be available, and you're also welcome to bring your own creative projects, sketchbooks, fibre arts, writing, or half-finished ideas. This isn't a traditional art class — it's more like an open studio, creative hangout, and peer-support space built around shared making. No art experience needed, and you do not need to consider yourself "an artist" to come. Your facilitator Sophia (she/her) is a mixed media artist, UX designer, educator, and researcher. With a Master's degree in Experimental Digital Media and a background in education, Sophia believes that knowledge is power. She loves to encourage others to go all in with their creative process, fail, learn, flail, and try again. Her workshops are focused on combining analog and digital mediums, web design resource sharing, and experimentation as a practice in self-discovery and connection.
