Bones and Bee is a musical acoustic duo made up of James Ross and Holly Bradbury. As soon as he knew enough words to do so, James began belting his favourite jams at the top of his lungs. Through years of singing in choirs, musicals and featured performances, James has developed impressive vocal skill, often compared by audience members and venue bookers to Michael Buble. A gifted guitarist as well, you may have seen James busking on Granville Island, or at the Water St. Café in Gastown to name a couple. In recent years, James has worked in the Bahamas for Royal Caribbean Cruises as a performer on their private destination, CocoCay, and most recently he played J.D. in Sherwood Theatre’s production of Heathers: The Musical. Holly, often praised for her “powerhouse vocals,” has been captivating audiences since the age of four. Trained across a wide range of genres from rock ’n’ roll to jazz, she aims to leave every crowd smiling, energized, and on their feet. She has performed at prominent venues throughout the Lower Mainland, including the Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park, Guilt & Co, and The Roxy. Together as Bones and Bee, James and Holly blend their experience, artistry, and tight harmonies to create pleasing performances. Their setlists feature stripped-down versions of beloved songs, old and new, as well as original music written by James.
