We are thrilled to announce WCCI’s 8th Contact Improvisation Festival running in collaboration with Simon Fraser University School for the Contemporary Arts (SCA), which has generously offered their dance studios in downtown Vancouver. This year it runs Friday April 17th to Sunday April 19th and we will be offering a multitude of inspiring classes over three days. Andrew Harwood OG. One of the original greats. He is coming from Montreal Marie Osterman from LA (she’s brilliant and hilarious) Delia Brett brings 35 years of CI experience to her classes Stu Phillips keeps us on our toes Most of our local EDAM stars (Olivia Shaffer, Anne Cooper, Arash Khakpour from the Biting School) will teach, as well as beloved Salt Spring teachers (Selena La Brooy, Manuel Rochette who will be offering up their unique styles and knowledge. The festival has been curated to provide a fascinating breadth of material intended to offer something of interest to the professional dancer as well as to the contact jammers, flow folx, yogis, ecstatic dancers, somanauts and all those interested in embodiment and healing arts.
