Event Description
Hollywood Theatre Presents...
CRAFT CLUB CINEMA EVER AFTER: A CINDERELLA STORY
Monday, March 16th 2026
Embroidery Workshop with Sadie Gilker: 6pm - 7pm
GA Doors (BYO Craft!): 7pm
Screening: 7:30pm
Craft Club Cinema is back again for a exciting screening of Ever After. Bring your favourite craft like knitting, embroidery, sketching, crotchet, (perhaps chainmail making?) and get cozy for a chill evening of crafting in community and watching a fun movie.
There will be house lights on, but feel free to bring additional book lights or wireless lighting sources to give yourself your preferred level of light for your craft.
Whether you're a dedicated maker, trying out a new hobby for the new year, or just craving a relaxed, communal night with fellow crafters, Craft Club Cinema is designed to help you slow down, connect, and enjoy a unique experience in the Hollywood Theatre.
Not sure what to make? Want to learn something new? We got you.
Purchase a workshop ticket for a hands-on embroidery workshop before the show led by local artist and educator Sadie Gilker (they/she). For this workshop, Sadie will be guiding workshop participants through an Irish Medieval Embroidery pattern, as a little homage to St Patrick's Day. The featured design is from the infamous Book of Kells, a beautiful manuscript dates back to the 9th century and is a gorgeous example of medieval art and calligraphy. In this workshop you will learn some medieval embroidery techniques to create authenticity.
All materials are provided.
Spots are limited!
Sadie Gilker is an avid embroiderer, painter, and designer whose practice explores texture, memory, and the natural world. With over 10 years of embroidery experience and a teaching approach rooted in sustainability and collective care, Sadie creates a welcoming space for all skill levels.
