DEAD MEADOW
Dead Meadow are a band hailing from Washington D.C, United States who formed in 1998. Since debuting, the band have released seven studio albums and become one of the most respected cult acts in the world of stoner rock.
Forming from the ashes of two D.C based bands called The Impossible Five and Colour, the first incarnation of Dead Meadow was formed by guitarist and vocalist Jason Simon, bassist Steve Kille and drummer Mark Laughlin. With their seamless combination of prime 70's heavy metal , 60's psychedelia and lyrics cribbed from Tolkien and Lovecraft, the band signed to Fugazi bassist Joe Lally's record label Tolotta Records in 2000, a mere two years after they formed. Their self-titled debut album followed in the same year, which was so acclaimed that BBC Radio One legend John Peel asked them to record a session for his evening radio show. However, as the band couldn't afford to fly to London and record it, Dead Meadow became the first band in the session's 37 year history to record their session outside of the BBC's studios.

CORY SHANE
The Inverted Jenny Flies Again is the first ever release of the long-lost solo debut from Washington DC guitarist Cory Shane (ex-Dead Meadow, The Rondelles, Hollow Mountain). Building upon a group of songs recorded in New Mexico on 4-track in 2002-03, the album features contributions from psychedelic hip-hop pioneer Edan (Beauty & The Beat, Echo Party), heavy-psych guitar god Jason Simon (Dead Meadow) and hip-hop producer/multi-instrumentalist Eli Elkin (aka Memory Man).
Cory Shane’s history begins in 1998 with the formation of Hollow Mountain along with Jason Simon and Malcolm McDuffie (ex-Metamatics, Crom-Tech). Hollow Mountain’s heavy-psych/stoner-rock sound went against the grain of the DC post-hardcore scene of the time and forged a path locally for Dead Meadow, which Simon soon left to form with Steve Kille and Mark Laughlin. The two bands continued to play together, sharing bills and swapping members onstage.
Over the years, Shane toured extensively with Dead Meadow as a friend and roadie, often sitting in on second guitar during shows. Upon returning to DC in 2003, he officially joined Dead Meadow to record the classic fourth album Feathers, originally released by Matador Records in 2005. Cory’s guitar work accentuates the dreamlike feel of the album, and a taste of his songwriting can be heard on the atmospheric track "Stacy's Song." Cory left Dead Meadow in Spring 2005, later reuniting with the band for a handful of reunion shows to perform Feathers material in the 2010s.
Shortly after leaving Dead Meadow in 2005, Shane began going through the Santa Fe recordings with producer/musician Eli Elkin and assembling a solo record, with Elkin adding bass and drum parts during the latter half of the 2000s. The resulting album The Inverted Jenny Flies Again will be released on April 10 on limited edition vinyl via Jason Simon’s Tekeli-li Records, with digital distribution through Ghost Tower Records. Cory Shane opens for Dead Meadow on their U.S. tour starting in April 2026.
TEMPTRESS
Temptress is a heavy trio founded in Dallas, Texas who fuse drone, doom, post-rock, noise, grunge and classic metal into an unexpected blend that sounds at times like each yet is also entirely unique.
Comprised of veteran touring musicians Andi Cuba (drums/vocals), Kelsey Wilson (guitar/vocals) and Christian Wright (bass/vocals), Temptress began their musical journey in 2019. Within just five months, these experienced players went from jamming for fun to writing and recording their first potent songs, self-releasing the self-titled Temptress EP that year and immediately launching into live performances.
