Free Beginner Tango Class + International Day of Tango Celebration

Have you ever wanted to try Argentine tango? This event is for you! Alive Tango will hold a belated celebration of the International Day of Tango on Sunday, December 14th (the official day is on the 11th of December). This date commemorates the birth of Carlos Gardel, a legendary singer and songwriter, and Julio de Caro, a prominent composer, musician, and bandleader. The day celebrates tango as both, a musical genre and a dance. 2:00-3:00pm One hour free class for the absolute beginners, an "Introduction to Argentinian tango” 3:00pm - 6:00pm Afternoon community milonga (a tango social party) with our beloved DJ Vanessa. We will also enjoy cake to celebrate We will have a tango clothes and shoes exchange “boutique” set up. Please bring anything you want to give away ( I am sure you have something that doesn’t need to be in your closet anymore .. make space for new arrivals ) Location: 111 Superior St. , Victoria.
