Discover the magic of creating colour with nature. In this hands on workshop, a CRD Regional Parks naturalist will guide you through the process of creating natural pigments using ethically harvested plants. Then put your new skills to work by using hand-crafted acorn ink and blackberry wash to create unique art pieces. Learn about historical and contemporary uses of nature based pigments with Indigenous cultural programmer Leslie McGarry, and leave with new knowledge and a one-of-a-kind personal creation. Trail Description: 400m loop on boardwalk and compact gravel surfaces with slight incline. Accessible washroom available near parking lot. Wheelchair accessible. We may encounter dogs in our parks. This trail requires all dogs to be on leash. Please note: We like pets too. However, their presence can be disruptive for some folks.
