Funeral Songs 2025 is an annual tribute show by Covers in a Dangerous Time, marking the passing of influential musicians we lost in 2025. The band performs songs from artists whose work continues to shape popular music, even after their deaths. This year’s set features music by Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys, Ozzy Osbourne of Black Sabbath, Jimmy Cliff, Sly & the Family Stone, and others. Rather than a somber memorial, the night focuses on the music itself — songs meant to be played live, sung along to, and shared in a room with other people who love them. From sun-soaked harmonies to heavy riffs, soul, reggae, and funk, the set moves across styles while staying rooted in respect for the original artists. Covers in a Dangerous Time features Brooke (guitar), Luke (drums), Steve (bass), and Alison (keyboards). Before turning to covers, the members played in indie bands including Immaculate Machine and Library Voices, bringing years of songwriting and touring experience to the project.
