Event Description
Community EventsArts & CreativeLearning & Workshops
Join Future of Good and theDock for an evening of connection, conversation, and storytelling with people working across social impact.
This gathering brings together Future of Good readers, nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs, and community builders to meet each other, share what they’re working on, and get a clearer sense of the work happening across the sector.
Changemakers like you are doing important work, improving lives, informing public policy, developing new solutions, and shifting systems. But too often, those stories go untold, unnoticed, or get buried in reports, jargon, or internal documents. You might find yourself thinking, “If only I had told that story better,” or “If only people really understood what we’re doing.”
We’ll start with a short talk from Anouk Bertner, Executive Director of Future of Good, on the importance of storytelling in this work, how to talk about what you’re doing, why it matters, and how to step into your own voice and perspective.
From there, we’ll move into some light, structured networking to support conversation and connection.
Some of the questions we’ll explore:
What’s the story you want to tell about your work?
What’s a best kept or untold story?
What would you share about your work with others across the country?
Join us for an interactive evening exploring how media chooses what stories to tell and how you can get your work noticed and picked up.
Light food and beverages will be available.
