Event Description
An open mic for the girls, gays and they's!
Open mics can feel a bit like a boys club, so we've decided to create one where women, queer folks, and those beyond the binary can feel comfortable taking risks, being vulnerable and trying out some new material!
Let's eat 'em up!
A note to comedians: We understand that comedy performances can and will often push boundaries and potentially include content that could be seen as inappropriate or offensive. This mic isn't intended to stifle or censor. At the same time, we encourage performers to consider power dynamics and who might be harmed when they are developing their work.
This show will be presented in the Raccoon Room (Second floor).
Please note that the venue has two separate spaces, upstairs and downstairs. All show listings should indicate which room they’re in on the description. Please ensure you note the location as both spaces do not have the same level of accessibility.
The front entrance has power assisted doors.
There’s a powered lift from street level to the main performance space. For more information on the limitations of our lift, please check out our website.
The venue has six private washrooms on the main floor, one of which is fully accessible with a power assisted door. The theatre doors to the main space are not power assisted at this time. The second floor is not accessible and is up two flights of stairs.
We encourage patrons requiring wheelchair seating message us ahead of performances so we can arrange seating at niki@littlemountaingallery.ca
