A special sunday edition of G2G: an evening of ambient and meditative sounds hosted by Bobby Myseh, featuring Vancouver producer Teen Daze On 12 April, Bobby Myseh brings his monthly ambient residency back to Lobe for a *Sunday Special*, with local producer, DJ and radio host Teen Daze (Jamison Isaac). Shifting from the usual first-Thursday slot, this Sunday special edition of Going to Ground will be opened & closed by Bobby, with an extended guest session in between from Teen Daze. Jamison's approach to ambient music aligns nicely with the G2G focus on listening to soft, calming sounds as a brief reprieve from the noise. And as a teaser for the soothing sounds listeners & lay-ers can expect to hear, in Jamison's own words: "I've always been inspired by music that transports me to another place, and even when I've made more straight ahead synth-pop or dance music, I always try to make the music evoke some sort of 'place'. The "imaginary landscape" that Brian Eno talks about. I can get pretty overwhelmed by the daily busyness that lives in my head, and sometimes it just feels nice to let music clear things up there. I think if I can help do that for someone else, whether its with my productions or DJing, then I'm putting something good into the world." ~~~~ Future Going to Ground sessions are usually on the 1st thursday of the month, starting softly at 8pm.
