Event Description
Thank you for your interest in the upcoming workshop. Below you will find general information about Grof Breathwork and details for participation.
About GROF® Breathwork
Initially developed by Stanislav and Christina Grof under the name Holotropic Breathwork in the 1970s, this powerful modality combines accelerated breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and expressive art. These elements allow for safe and supported access to a non-ordinary state of consciousness. Participants take turns as breather and sitter, supporting one another throughout the day. The workshop includes two deep, three-hour breathwork sessions, with music specifically selected to accompany and enhance each phase of the journey. This structure allows each individual’s inner healing wisdom to guide the process naturally within a safe and contained environment.
Through these sessions, material may emerge from the biographical, perinatal, or transpersonal dimensions, including unresolved emotional or bodily-held experiences, archetypal imagery, or moments of insight, release, and connection. The material that emerges is directed from within, allowing what is most needed for personal growth and integration to surface organically.
Why Choose Grof® Breathwork?
Grof Breathwork offers a safe and legal method for entering holotropic states of consciousness—the same category of non-ordinary states that have been central to healing, ritual, and transformation across cultures and throughout history. These states allow the psyche to activate its inner healing intelligence, bringing into awareness what is most ready to emerge. Experiences may include:
The release of unresolved emotional material and trauma held in the body and unconscious
A deepened sense of integration, insight, and renewal in one’s life
Revisiting and processing experiences connected with the birth process
Transpersonal dimensions such as archetypal imagery, ancestral memory, or mystical states of unity and connection
Grof Breathwork provides a profound opportunity for healing, self-discovery, and spiritual opening within a structured and supportive group container.
