Event Description
Just your typical bluegrass band? Hardly.
With close to a century of bluegrass experience under their fingers, Hardly Handsome covers a wide swath of the bluegrass repertoire with some stellar singing and searing instrumentals. Add a sprinkle of light-hearted humour with a dash of bluegrass history and you're in for an entertaining musical experience.
Mick Baker is the mando man and high lonesome tenor in the band. They say banjo player Lee Foote never plays anything the same way twice but keeps the band rolling down the rails! Music has always been a big part of Bill Humby's life. He is quite happy to add his guitar and vocal stylings to this group of island incomers. And lastly, bringing his vast knowledge of bluegrass to the band with nearly 50 years experience as a touring musician, teacher, broadcaster and luthier, Craig Korth now puts the bottom end on the beat, playing bass and adding his vocal stylings to Hardly Handsome's performances.
Doors open: 7:30pm
Open Stage: 7:45pm. To reserve a slot, call Jeb Gordon 778.678.4570 or openstage@victoriabluegrass.ca
Feature Act: 9:00pm
General Admission: $10 ($7 for VBA members and open stage performers).
