Event Description
Supporting Grassroots community resistance never looked so magical - May 15th join the team from Let's Talk Access, Canada's first homegrown and free mental health literacy resource - as they throw their own historic opening to the beloved Victoria Highland Games and MayDay weekend celebration.
Starting at 4 or 630, you can enter for the entire evening or join us a bit later as we cross the veil together - both experiences promise a night you won't forget. Arriving at 4 you will be welcomed to 1 of 3 thresholds, Irish Scottish or Manx, and orient to the space and evening through a traditional activity celebrating Beltane. From there wander the orchard, take in the silent auction and beauty, or have your likeness painted (availability upon timing). Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine as you nibble on the communal grazing table, and listen as local artists play live music.
From 630 onwards, the vibe begins to change: more people arrive, and the anticipation builds. Our host shares words about the event and resource being built (it is a gala afterall), before journeying through twin fires as a communal practice. Artists open the open-air dancefloor with a traditional dance that transforms into a burlesque number done to the bagpipes. Expect performances throughout the dancefloor and the evening, weaving between burlesque, dance, drag, pole and other surprises. Featuring Lilith Delight, Ruby Dreams, Sapphic Content, WanderLost, GWiz, Ghost of Judith, Canned Heat, Lady Jane, Q on the fiddle, and more..
Alcohol available onsite - dressing-up encouraged (think etheral otherworld, not celtic cosplay ;) please) - 19+ event with some nudity (respectful behaviour only, zero tolerance policy) - photography encouraged unless of burlesque numbers (respect our artists) - and support a good cause.
visit beltane-ball.com for more information and tickets, and make this a night we won't forget for a cause that's worth it - that moment when you're ready to start accessing services but don't know where to start? Your support is helping us build that, with resources beginning to drop June 15th 2026. Visit letstalkaccess_events to follow along or find out more.
