Building the core leadership competencies needed todayLeaders today are being asked to do so much with so little, while the needs of our mandates, our staff, and the communities we serve are all increasingly diverse and complex. Leaders are also expected to lead differently: to engage more, to foster harmonious workplaces, to address conflicts, to be accountable to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) commitments, to be responsive when harm is caused.Sometimes it can feel like there are few spaces to explore and build our inclusive leadership without judgment or right-wrong thinking. And with power and privilege at play in workplaces and training sessions, especially for white leaders, we are scared to do and say, in case we do and say the wrong thing. But we are in a critical moment of growing resistance and political backlash, when trusting relationships, inclusive cultures, and equitable policies in our workplaces and communities are needed more than ever.Through dialogue and exploration of practical frameworks, real case studies, and facilitated reflection, our participants will strengthen their comfort, confidence, and ability to lead teams where people feel safe, valued, and included, and leave with concrete actions they can apply immediately.This spring, we have three offerings to choose from:1.
