Learn to make bar soap from scratch using the cold process method! During this fun introductory workshop held at All Things Jill's manufacturing facility, we will teach you the basics in soapmaking: safety, chemistry, common terms, tools, supplies required, tips & tricks and common trouble shooting. Class will start with soapmaking theory, followed by some hands-on practice making soap! You will take home with you a two-pound loaf of soap that you custom colour and scent during class. You will also have instructions for cutting and properly curing your soap when you get home. As a bonus, the workshop includes a silicone-lined wooden soap mold with lid, which makes 10 bars of soap. You get to keep your mold and your safety glasses for making soap at home! All participants MUST be age 18 or over (no exceptions).
