We start together and end together! 🙂 ~SCHEDULE~ 7-7:25pm - Landing & brief underscore talk-through 7:25-8:45pm - Mini-Underscore 8:45-8:55pm - Reflection, harvest (bring a journal if desired) 8:55-9pm - Sharing, thanksgiving ~WHAT IS AN UNDERSCORE?~ The Underscore (developed by Nancy Stark Smith) is a container that helps deepen our understanding and embodiment of Contact Improvisation. It maps the different phases and experiences of a collective improvisation using simple symbols and language to make aspects visible and explicit - from solo to encounter, from inner listening to spontaneous composition. This expanded awareness widens the spectrum of possibility thus inspiring surprising kinesthetic and compositional improvisational dance.
