Camosun College and the Chargers Athletics Department are excited and ready to host the 2026 Pacific Western Athletic (PACWEST) Basketball Championships, March 5-7, 2026 at the Pacific Institute for Sport Education (PISE). For the first time in Chargers history, the men’s basketball team finished the season at the top of the rankings and has received a first round bye. The women’s team finished sixth and will kick off their run for a medal against the Capilano Blues on Wednesday, March 5 at 5:30pm. Tournament schedule is: Thursday, March 5 12:30pm – Women - Columbia Bible College Bearcats vs. Langara Falcons 3:00pm – Men – Capilano Blues vs. Columbia Bible College Bearcats 5:30pm – Women – Capilano Blues vs. Camosun Chargers 8:00pm – Men – Langara Falcons vs. Okanagan College Coyotes Friday, March 6 12:30pm – Women – VIU Mariners vs. Winner Game 1 3:00pm – Men – VIU Mariners vs. Winner Game 2 5:30pm – Women – Douglas College Royals vs. Winner Game 3 8:00pm – Men – Camosun Chargers vs. Winner Game 4 The bronze medal matches are scheduled on Saturday, March 7 at 12:30pm (women) and 3:00pm (men), with the gold medal games to follow at 5:30pm (women) and 8:00pm (men). Award presentations will take place following the gold medal matches. Individual game tickets or day/tournament passes are available online or at the door. Prices range from free (Camosun students/staff and youth under 12) to $30 for a general admission tournament package (all 12 games). All games will also be available for free on the Chargers YouTube page or PACWEST TV. The Camosun Chargers Athletics Program currently fields teams in basketball and volleyball. Since joining the Canadian Collegiate Athletics Association (CCAA) and PACWEST conferences in 1994, the Chargers have competed in over 100 national and provincial championships with over 50 medal winning finishes.
