The event will be hosted by Steven Ross Smith. Doors at 7 pm, event starts at 7:30 pm. No open mic this week.
Kyeren Regehr’s Cult Life was a finalist for the Victoria Butler Bookprize and ReLit awards, Disassembling A Dancer won Raven Chapbooks inaugural contest; she’s a former poetry editor at The Malahat Review and hosts The Poet Laureate Podcast. Kyeren is co-editing After: Poems in Dialogue with Zoe Dickinson (forthcoming with Caitlin Press). She’s the artistic director of Planet Earth Poetry and the poet laureate of Victoria.
Elee Kraljii Gardiner is the author of the poetry collections Trauma Head, serpentine loop, and Sometimes, Forest (forthcoming in 2026) as well as the anthologies Against Death: 35 Essays on Living and V6A: Writing from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. A frequent collaborator with choreographers, sound and visual artists, Elee directs Vancouver Manuscript Intensive. She is the poet laureate of Vancouver.
