Event Description
We will reflect on the past month or learn a new style of journaling for self-inquiry.
We will open with introductions and some somatic work. Then, Cory will facilitate the group to deep reflection. We'll take a break at 3:00 to mingle and self-care, returning at 3:15 for round 2.
You can expect:
-extremely supportive fellow workshoppers (see workshopper reviews at https://mindfuladulting.substack.com/p/workshop-schedule)
-journaling with suggested prompts.
-sharing some of your thoughts with fellow workshoppers (within your comfort zone).
This event is for queers and allies.
Bring your journal and dayplanner. Cory will provide colourful pens and paper.
LOCATION
1923 Fernwood Rd at the Little Gladstone Studio
The Little Gladstone Studio is on the 2nd floor around the back of the building. (Go around Little June, Stage, the children’s boutique, and turn right into the laneway. Look to your right and see the ramp up to the Studio space!)
COST
Pay what you can.
If cost is a barrier, email the organizer; there may be bursaries or barters available.
If life has been generous, feel free to give generously to support this work.
You can pay in Luma, in cash on the day, or via e-transfer.

3. Is this a queer-friendly event? Yas queen (king, or ruler of any gender)
4. Are service animals allowed? Welcomed!
5. What facilities are on site? Washrooms, accessible space, kitchenette with drinking water.
6. What should I bring? A friend, a journal if you like (Cory will have pens and paper alternatively), comfy clothes, a morsel of courage.
7. Is there street parking nearby? Yes. Try Gladstone (or Stanley, Pembroke or Vining)
8. Is this on a bus route? Yep, the 22. And a short walk from some others (24/25, 11, 27/28, 2, 15, etc)
9. What's the idea behind this workshop? A few, including
-You can grow from wherever you are now.
-We can’t talk our way into empowerment: we need practice.
-Navigating inner/interpersonal stress and conflict without panicking is an emotional intelligence skill that grows best in low-stakes settings like this.
-We need to build resilience communally, not just individually.
