Roots & Herbs are a hard-bop jazz sextet that plays the music of Art Blakey’s iconic band the Jazz Messengers. Lead by Vancouver drummer Alex McKechnie, they began performing in Jan 2023 and are made up of some of Vancouver's most in-demand jazz musicians.
