Event Description

On the outskirts of Sinwood lies a facility dedicated to the education and training of tomorrow’s super heroes and villains. Some mutants exposed to radiation have evolved “capabilities” beyond our wildest imaginations, and others have developed capabilities that are perfectly imaginable. Some see their powers as a gift, some a curse, and others… no, mostly a gift or curse, those are the options. Students learn to control and wield their profoundly absurd abilities from a mostly dedicated team colloquially known as the SuiSIN Squad - a powerful team assembled by Professor Sin. Will these students learn mastery, control, and self understanding? Or will their “powers” consume them? Sin Peaks is a live improvised Soap Opera. Just like your favourite TV shows, its characters return each week to tell a brand new, one of a kind story. Don’t worry if you miss a week, there is a recap at the top of every episode and each show is uniquely hilarious unto itself. The Director sets up a scene from off stage. Then the actors and musicians skillfully bring that world to life through improvisation. Sin Peaks is a funny, sexy, witty, engaging, off the cuff good time and is unlike anything you’ve seen in Vancouver. Directed by: Zach Wolfman & Andrew Wade Produced by: Kristin York Starring: The Sin Peaks Cast & Band This show will be presented in the Raccoon Room (Second floor). This show is produced and curated under a rental model, independent of Little Mountain Gallery. If you have questions or comments on this performance please contact the producer at sinpeaksimprov@gmail.com Accessibility Please note that the venue has two separate spaces, upstairs and downstairs. All show listings should indicate which room they’re in on the description. Please ensure you note the location as both spaces do not have the same level of accessibility. The front entrance has power assisted doors. There’s a powered lift from street level to the main performance space. For more information on the limitations of our lift, please check out our website. The venue has six private washrooms on the main floor, one of which is fully accessible with a power assisted door. The theatre doors to the main space are not power assisted at this time. The second floor is not accessible and is up two flights of stairs. We encourage patrons requiring wheelchair seating message us ahead of performances so we can arrange seating at niki@littlemountaingallery.ca
