Event Description

Sunday March 22 from 12pm-3pm, join us for an afternoon of hands on planting and farming experiences at Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture! There will be complimentary transportation from UVic via the Community Action Bus! Please visit Sandown Centre's eventbrite page to register for the day free of charge. What will we be doing? The afternoon will include an introduction to regenerative agriculture, preparing the soil, and planting. Gardening gloves, tools, snacks, and tea will be provided! Please dress appropriately for the weather (ie. Waterproof shoes, rain jacket, hat, sunglasses) as we’ll be getting dirty with hands-on work rain or shine. Transportation Details: We will depart from the University of Victoria, and return to the same location. Please check of the linked eventbrite sign-up page for specifics. Who is this for Whether you're a complete beginner or simply curious about where your food comes from, this experience is open to anyone eager to explore farming basics. Sandown Centre offers volunteer opportunities on a regular basis. We respectfully acknowledge the traditional territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ people. Specifically, the BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin) First Nation and W̱SĺḴEM (Tseycum) First Nation, whose lands the Sandown Centre for Regenerative Agriculture is located on.
