Created and Performed by Kaya Coleman and Kamika Bianca Guerra-Walker
Somewhere in Between Us is a performative social study conducted by two Black women who are exploring identity, race and perception through audience interaction and real-time conversation.
Through hair, media, personal narrative, audience prompts, and shared space, Kaya and Kamika examine the ways people perform, protect, and negotiate themselves in front of others. Blurring the line between observation and participation, the piece invites audiences into an intimate exchange shaped in real time.
