Science World is happy to be joined by CTRL-F as the hosts of this virtual event, as they present a special version of their “ Verification Skills in the Age of AI ” workshop: Our online information environment is increasingly polluted with AI-generated content, false and misleading information, and questionable sources. Join us for this virtual session to gain the knowledge and skills you and your students need to navigate today’s complex digital world. Through this session we will: • Practise evidence-based strategies for verifying online information, including AI-generated content • Demystify generative AI by learning how it works and how it fails • Examine the ethical implications of generative AI • Reflect on how AI can be used responsibly in the classroom You will leave with free, classroom-ready tools from the CTRL-F: Digital Media Literacy program. These bilingual resources, designed for students in grades 4 to 12, include lesson plans, slide decks, activities, videos, online interactives and more. Digital media literacy is essential at every age, so we invite educators of all grades to join and strengthen their own skills. CTRL-F is a program of CIVIX , a charity dedicated to building the habits and skills of citizenship among youth.
