Event Description
What happens when a hit 1960’s game show meets today’s most infamous Internet rabbit hole? A hilarious night of live comedy!
The Am I The Asshole Comedy Game Show combines the sexy swinging fun of The Dating Game with the can-not-look-away cringeworthy captivation of the “Am I The Asshole (AITAH) Reddit forum. On this show, a special guest performer shares a personal story of a time when they may have been a jerk and YOU, the audience, decide whether or not they are the A-hole.
To help with your decision we have an Expert Panel of characters from all different walks of life, who will give our storyteller hilarious (and questionable) advice. Their only qualifications are that they are experts in their own minds, much like anonymous Reddit commenters!
The show features some of the top standup, improv, sketch and storytelling talents in the city as well as nationally touring special guest acts.
Your swinging host is Mossford L. Putnam, an upbeat gent whose resume includes flubbing his audition to host The Dating Game, partying hard in the 70s and 80s cable access circuit in Nanaimo and straining his relationship with his ex-wife Elaine. (If you know Elaine, please tell her Mossford is thriving.)
This show is perfect for anyone looking to have a laugh and share a bit of connection on a fun night out. All that AND you get to pass judgement on a stranger. But not too much. After all, if AITAH teaches us anything - it’s that we’re all the A-hole sometimes!
Want to Submit Your Own AITAH Story?
If you have a juicy tale you’re dying to share, you can submit it anonymously and your host Mossford will read it aloud at the show. Don’t worry. Your secret’s safe with us.
