The Mindful Mug: Sculpting Intentions into Clay ☕✨
Hand-Build Your New Favorite Vessel
Discover the art of pottery in this hands-on, two-part workshop! You will learn the versatile slab-building technique to construct a custom mug and stamp it with a personal word or mantra to anchor your goals for the year. Every morning as you sip from your creation, you'll be met with a tangible, handcrafted reminder of the positive intention you've set for yourself.
This class is perfect for anyone looking to create a functional piece of art that reflects their personal goals.
Workshop Schedule:
Part 1 - The Build: April 11th - 11:00am - 1:00pm
Part 2 - The Glaze: May 9th - 11:00am- 12:30pm
The Creative Process: During the first session, we will cover the essentials of creating a slab, scoring, and slipping to ensure your piece is sturdy and built to last. You’ll have the opportunity to make your vessel truly unique by adding personal details like stamped words or intricate textures.
After you finish building, leave your piece with us for its first kiln firing. You will return on May 9th to bring your work to life with color! You’ll choose from our selection of professional, food-safe glazes to finish your one-of-a-kind mug or tumbler.
Registration Details:
The price includes both the building workshop and the glazing workshop, all clay, tools, and two kiln firings.
Scheduling Note: If you are unable to attend the glazing session on May 9th, please let us know! You can join a different glazing session, or our instructor can glaze your piece for you in a solid color of your choice.
A Note for our Makers: We treat every project with expert care. However, because ceramics can be unpredictable and involve high-temperature kiln firings, pieces can occasionally crack, break, or experience other defects. While we can’t guarantee a perfect project every time, we promise to find a fair resolution (like a replacement or a discount) that works for you.
