“On the ruins of a shattered world, they learn to love and believe once again.” Resonance Theatre invites you to the play “Enemies, A Love Story”, based on the novel by Nobel Prize–winning author Isaac Bashevis Singer and adapted by Israeli playwright Roy Chen. This is a touching story about love, faith, and the resilience of the human spirit, told through the fates of people who survived the Holocaust. Herman, a Polish Jew and Holocaust survivor, lives in New York in the late 1940s and tries to rebuild his life.
