Event Description
Co-directed by Claire Butterfield and Oliver Swain, The Village Choir is a genre-spanning singing community based in downtown Victoria. Meeting weekly, the choir brings together a wide range of voices to create dynamic, engaging performances.
This year’s program features music by D’Angelo, Shania Twain, Imogen Heap, Earth, Wind & Fire, and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Concerts are supported by an all-star band of Victoria musicians, including Ashley Wey (keys), Tyler Lieb (guitars), and Alex Campbell (percussion), and feature special guest vocalist Dawn Pemberton.
Partial proceeds will be donated to Raven Trust, an organization based in Victoria that raises legal defence funds for Indigenous Nations who are in court to protect land, air and water for future generations.
