Join us for a tour of The Westhills Arena is an ASHRAE-award-winning skating facility built in 2010, containing an NHL-size ice surface The Westhills Arena is an ASHRAE-award-winning skating facility built in 2010, containing an NHL-size ice surface with a skating trail that joins to an outdoor skating pond along with a full-service restaurant and bowling alley. All of the heating, cooling, dehumidification and domestic hot water systems in the facility are integrated with the main ice rink refrigeration system, with excess heat being shared with a neighbouring residential community via a shared geothermal borefield.
