Kelly Warren and Roger Salloum met at a rehearsal in 1988 for a large Motorcycle club rally concert. Kelly, was a Northern Alberta kid, who started singing with his bold and proud style in Grade 3. The Bass caught his attention at 16 and he dug right in. Music was coming from everywhere, which included an invitation to attend the University of Southern California for his Jazz trumpeter skills at age of 17! But this teenager hit the road instead, and began touring as a rock bassist in 1988. One Province over and there was Roger, in Saskatoon, who began honing his skills of Classical, Jazz and Rock Music on both Piano and Guitar from a very young age. He performs with many now and teaches others all of the above instruments from his cozy West End home. Their combined music careers have taken them across the globe to London, Germany, Dubai, and America; playing for royalty and the occasional NHL franchise. 25 years later, they draw from their extensive catalogue and tackle requests with charm and skill to make every night truly unique. There’s a little more to life than music, though music (and a good game of Chess) has been their synonymous world. Kelly remarks that he also spends time trying to make the perfect cup of coffee, running a custom print company, hanging out rock climbing w/ his daughters, dog walking (aka dog wrestling) and reading. Roger admits that he loves to watch CSI and Law & Order with his wife. It seems, they’ve the got this life / balance thing figured out, as they look half their age! When on the Red Truck Stop LIVE Stage you will hear them as a Guitar and Bass combo, singing classic hits from the 1960s-2000 and may perhaps fire up some instrumental pyrotechnics as well!
