Yariv Aloni, conductor Gabriel Ferreras, Graduate student conductor Hear Rossini’s spirited Overture to La gazza ladra, and Jordan Nobles’ Apollo—an evocative, contemporary work exploring light and motion. The program continues with Smetana’s From Bohemia’s Woods and Fields (Má Vlast, No. 4), a richly textured tribute to the natural beauty of the Czech countryside plus Schumann’s powerful and passionate Symphony No. 4 in D minor, Op. 120.
