Join us to explore multi-sensory mixed media to create in relation to migration, playfulness, honouring ancestors, manifesting realities, and reframing contradictions WHAT TO EXPECT: In this workshop, Priyanka will invite us into a process where the various loving parts of ourselves and our worlds can be brought into the light. From this gentle, curious and playful space, we will engage in a practice of tuning into what is wanting to be witnessed and held. Using multi-sensory mixed media (paints, chalk, plant material, whole spices, fabrics, etc.) along with guided prompts offered by Priyanka, we will be invited to notice, name and create a world where these beautiful or tense, symbolic, and sometimes contradictory parts of our embodied and celestial selves may co-exist. Each of us will create a unique manifestation of the contexts of our relationships, memories, cultures and lands, in a way that is meaningful for us. These individual stories will then be woven back together, into the canvas fabric they once emerged from, a symbolic gesture of return.
