The Roscoe family created a home at Ross Bay Villa during a pivotal time in BC's history, living here from 1865-1879. But who were they and how do we reconstruct their lives and understand them in the context of Victoria today? In a cozy evening of storytelling, catch a glimpse of the everyday lives of this family, complete with picnics, skating, politics and social calls. Kathryn McAllister, storyteller and President of the Ross Bay Villa Society, explores the story of a family who left all that was familiar for the chance at a better life, and became a part of Victoria's complex colonial past.
