Join us for the Blessing of Pascha Easter Baskets at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St. George! Celebrate the joy of the Resurrection with the UOC of St. George! We warmly invite our entire Victoria community to join us on Saturday, April 11, for a beautiful morning of tradition and fellowship. We begin with Holy Confession at 9:45 AM, followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Immediately following the service, we will hold the traditional Blessing of the Pascha Easter Baskets. The blessing of the basket is a cherished Orthodox tradition that marks the end of the Great Fast. Each item brought forward—from the rich Pascha bread and eggs to the meats and dairy—symbolizes the abundance of God’s many blessings and the renewal of life. By bringing these foods to the Church to be blessed, we acknowledge that all we have comes from Him, and we carry that sanctification back into our homes to share at our festal tables. Whether you are a regular parishioner or someone who hasn't visited us in a long time, please know that our doors and hearts are open to you.
