Join us at Ross Bay Villa Historic House Museum for a new exhibition of impressionistic oil paintings by artist Mone Vogel. Landmarks of Victoria by the water are interpreted by this remarkable artist (and Ross Bay Villa’s Director of Interior Restoration) on antique wooden panels. This show evokes a magical sense of place using scenes of lakes, creeks, mud flats, and ocean that are not only familiar to residents of Victoria today, but would also have been recognizable to the Villa’s first inhabitants, the Roscoes, back in the Victoria era. This show will be hanging in the Villa from 11-2 on each Saturday in June, with the artist in residence, working on a new piece.
