About The Play Rooted in Persian myth and drawn from the Shahnameh, the play revisits the legend of Zahhak, the ruler marked by serpents growing from his shoulders, symbols of insatiable power and violence. Through poetic language and layered storytelling, Beyzaei transforms the myth into a timeless reflection on tyranny, resistance, memory, and collective responsibility.
