Seniors for Climate Victoria and Climate Justice Victoria are teaming up to celebrate a significant climate justice success, the all ages and abilities (AAA) bike and roll route network that has been built over the last nine years. People on power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and families with children will lead the relaxed pace tour of some of Victoria’s nicest bike and roll routes.
Earth Week Ride & Roll Celebration
When: Monday April 20th 4 pm – 5 pm (Mother Earth Day is April 22).
What: A rolling celebration of how people of all ages and abilities use Victoria’s bike and roll routes on wheelchairs, (3&4 wheel) mobility scooters, bicycles and more.
People on power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and families with children will lead the relaxed pace tour of some of Victoria’s nicest bike and roll routes.
Why: Climate action isn’t just essential, done well it can make our communities more inclusive, accessible, and livable. In the nine years since the Pandora protected bike and roll lanes were opened, it has become easier and more pleasant to ride and roll around the city without burning fossil fuels.
Where: Starts at Janion Plaza (Pandora Ave at Store St., by the Johnson Street Bridge - on the Pandora bike and roll route)
