International Astronomy Day: The Pale Blue Data Point Guest Speaker: Dr. Jon Willis (University of Victoria) Saturday, 7:30 PM – 11:00 PM Tickets available on Tuesday April 14th at 5pm through the website. Please notes, tickets are required for this event. Is there life beyond Earth? Join astronomer Dr. Jon Willis to explore how Earth’s most extreme environments (from deep oceans to ancient deserts) provide the "data points" needed to find life on alien worlds. Event Highlights: Feature Presentation: An Earth-Based Perspective on the Search for Alien Life with Dr Willis Star Party: Guided observatory tours and immersive planetarium shows. Telescope Viewing: Hands-on stargazing (weather permitting). Book Signing: Meet Dr. Willis and have your books signed. Speaker Bio: Jon Willis is a professor of astronomy at the University of Victoria and author of The Pale Blue Data Point: An Earth-Based Perspective on the Search for Alien Life and All These Worlds Are Yours: The Scientific Search for Alien Life.
