Event Description

Learning & Workshops

"with Chance McClendon
Interested in designing your own furniture, shop projects, or woodworking plans digitally before making them in the shop? This beginner-friendly class is an introduction to using Fusion 360 for woodworking design and planning.
Participants will learn the basics of navigating Fusion 360, creating sketches, building 3D models, and using simple workflows to plan woodworking projects with accuracy and confidence. The class will focus on practical applications for makers and woodworkers, including dimensioned parts, assemblies, and design iteration.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have gained foundational CAD skills that can support future furniture builds, CNC projects, and workshop planning.
No prior CAD experience required. We have computers available to use during the class, but participants are also welcome to bring their own laptop with the free personal-use version of Fusion 360 installed."
