Greetings Friends of the Interweb,

I'm your host Kyla-Rose and I've worked as a special makeup effects artist off-and-on for over 20 years. When I was teaching, I started putting together videos and slide presentations about the history and development of the craft, and I've always wanted to create something more expansive. Now I have an epic video that I'd love to share!

This is a 2-part video collage starting with early black & white films up until modern times.  You can learn about unsung fx heros like Cecil Holland, Paul Blaisdell and Louise 'Bunny' Downe. And see some curated clips from effects heavy films like The Exorcist and From Beyond.

There's also a rippin soundtrack including Goblin, Detente, Bauhaus and Beach House!

I'll also answer questions and demo a simple out-of-kit bruising technique.
