Learn the art of laser marquetry — an 18th century craft brought into the 21st century with digital tools. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn the basics of vector design software and how to use the laser cutter to create precise wood inlays from solid wood veneers.
Participants will design and create their own custom marquetry coaster to take home, featuring an inlaid design cut on the laser cutter. Along the way, we’ll cover design setup, material preparation, laser cutting techniques, and assembly.
No prior experience with lasers or design software needed.
